This Chrome extension (“the Extension”) automates video/image generation on grok.com and offers an optional AI storyboard feature served by pandavid.ai. This policy explains what data the Extension handles and what it sends to our servers.
What the Extension does locally (never leaves your device)
- Your storyboards, prompts, reference images, settings and generated results are stored locally in your browser (IndexedDB / chrome.storage) on your own machine.
- Reference images you add and the videos/images Grok generates are handled only between your browser and grok.com. We do not receive, store, or have access to them.
- The Extension reads and controls pages on grok.com solely to drive the generation you request. It does not read your browsing on any other site.
What is sent to pandavid.ai servers (and why)
The Extension contacts https://pandavid.ai only for these features, and only sends the minimum needed:
- AI storyboard (when you click “Create with AI”): your typed story script and the chosen settings (count, style, aspect ratio, language, reference names) are sent so the AI can split it into scenes. The returned scenes are shown to you. We do not send your reference images, only their names.
- License check: an anonymous install identifier (a random ID generated on your device, not tied to your identity) and, if you entered one, your license key, sent to verify your plan status.
- Run planning: when you run a storyboard, the Extension sends content-free, abstract signals per shot (e.g. whether a shot is video, how many references it has, whether it chains) so the server can decide scene-transition treatment. No prompt text, no images, no URLs, no character names are sent here.
- Error telemetry (automatic, anonymous): if a generation step fails, the Extension sends an anonymous error report: machine error codes, the step name, a short excerpt of the on-screen error message from grok.com (with any links stripped out), the Extension version, and the anonymous install identifier. No prompt text, no images, no URLs, and no personal data are ever included. This helps us detect when grok.com changes break the automation.
What we do NOT do
- We do not collect your name, email, browsing history, or any personal identifiers (beyond the random, anonymous install ID).
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.
- We do not send your prompts, reference images, or generated media to our telemetry or run-planning endpoints.
- We do not use tracking cookies or advertising identifiers.
Payments
Subscriptions are processed by our payment provider (Stripe) on pandavid.ai. The Extension itself does not process or store payment details; it only checks whether your install has an active plan.
Data retention
- Local data (storyboards, settings, results) stays on your device until you delete it or remove the Extension.
- Anonymous telemetry is retained for up to 30 days for reliability monitoring, then deleted.
